Peanut Butter Cheesecake

Handsome and I are headed out for a weekend of adventure in North Carolina. I’ll be meeting his sister, niece, and nephews for the first time.  It’s a much needed ‘family’ vacation and I, for one, am really excited. Handsome and I actually do really well in a car together for several hours – and I figure that’s a pretty big accomplishment for any couple. Nothing is going to plan, and we are both over due for a few days off so this is going to be a blast! Follow my Instagram for random photos and probably at least one […]

Peanut Butter Banana Pops

Spring has sprung. The first touch of 80+ degree weather came and went and now it’s just a race to hot and humid summer days. I have scaled back some promotions on the site because I didn’t want to become ‘that blog’ (said with my blogger nose in the air as if I’m above free swag and not just too busy to write a proper review these days) but I wanted to share a few products that have quickly become staples in my pantry in the past few weeks.   Desert Pepper Salsa – HOLY WOW. That is all I […]

Nutter Butter Banana Pudding – in Jars!

Nutter Butter Banana Pudding from

Motto of the week “Instagram that shit!” Which would have probably been more awesome if I had a cell phone signal for like 5 minutes while tucked away in the mountains of Virginia and her half-sister to the west. A 4 day weekend with no map or plan in which I learn that even though the memories are about the trip and not the destination, sometimes a little preparedness goes a long way. We kicked off the day one by heading up to Hagerstown to pre-ride an upcoming race course and visit some friends. The course was BORING – straight up a hill and […]

Peanut Butter Pie

Recently while hunting down some font’s via the wonderful world of Pinterest I came across a few sites that really caught my eye. Going Home to Roost How About Orange Aerialist Press & Design Editor All of these sites  have great collections of posts, fun fonts, adorable DIY, fashion tips and a lot more. If you are in need of a break from food blogs, go check them out. I’m not very fashion forward, don’t make my own anything (other than food), and cute is something that I just can’t seem to come by. But in my imaginary play world where […]

Peanut Butter Banana Honey Cookies and a Silpat Giveaway

It’s a cookie and giveaway kind of day. Simple as that. The kind folks over at BigKitchen asked me if I would like to review a product and host a giveaway. Yes! And then they said I could pick. I was like a kid in a candy store, but an older kid, that has had almost every flavor of Jelly Belly’s who wasn’t going to stuff just any thing in their mouth for the sake of having it. I meandered over the wide variety of items at BigKitchen and finally sent a few options to Malerie and asked her to surprise me. I […]

Fluffernutter Wontons

Remember when I deep fried lasagna and peeps (and pretty much anything else I could get my hands on) when my friends gave me a deep fryer a few months back? Yeah, I’m not exactly over that joy yet. Now, remember the joy of a peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich from your childhood? I didn’t, but a recipe I was making recently had me licking the spoon from a jar of fluff and there I was, 6 years old, play-dough in one hand Hi-C in the other while trying to not make a huge mess enjoying that special treat […]

Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes from childhood memories

Enter to Win a 170z bottle of Carapelli Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil through May 22nd. TastyKake is a treat brand I can remember snacking on since I was knee high. I’m 99% sure it is not nationwide and that you have to be from my neck of the woods to understand how awesome it was to find one of the many TastyKake treats in your lunch box from day to day. A while ago it was in the local news that TastyKake was going to be closing down. I was terribly saddened by the idea of another local company […]

Bacon Peanut Butter Cups

Yes, you read that right, Bacon Peanut Butter Cups. Awesome, wonderful, crispy, salty bacon is indeed hiding inside each and every one of these waiting to be devoured. Judge me, but you know you want one. I saw these little babies last week on Blog is the New Black and ran to my refrigerator to make sure I was stocked in bacon. I had to make them as soon as possible (Yes, I’m American and I will add bacon to anything and I do solidly believe it makes it better). Normally, if I like a recipe it gets put in […]

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Muffins and a pick me up

How one phone call can make up for any horrid email. Let me start by saying I do have the best job in the world. I sell comic books. Point and laugh all you want but most people at the end of the day say they love their job. Think what you want about comic book readers, but you’re probably wrong. Hold you nose as high in the air as you can at the art form, but it’s statistically proven to help people learn to read. Judge me all you want. I’m comfortable in my boots. But I have 400 […]

Peanut Butter Squares Recipe

I have an uncle who considers peanut butter its own food group. I don’t remember a time that there hasn’t been the option of peanut butter and crackers at his house, which can really hit the spot sometimes. So the other day for my uncles birthday, I made him these peanut butter squares that I had seen a while ago.  Let me just say, these are everything I want in a dessert. Little bite of heaven. To top it off, they were really easy (coming together quickly, with only a few ingredients).   So whose in the mood for […]

Fall Back with Peanut Butter Banana Cookies

2 years ago, Handsome and I were just getting to know one another, still in the stage where you stay up till 4 am talking. The night the clocks feel back was no different, and he left around 5AM so we could both get some sleep as I had to work that day. There I was, young and in love, working the day away at the shop. The day passed and I anxiously closed the store and was ready for another night long chatter session with the man. As I was driving home, my phone rang. It was my boss. […]

Good Deeds and Brownie Cupcakes

The other day a letter arrived addressed to my BF from   Big D 101 You’re Welcome Dr DoSomething, Nice 155500 The letter inside was “Dearest (Insert Handsome’s name), I saw this on the ground at (insert location here) and thought you may need it. Have a great day. Sincerely, Big D.”   Enclosed was his driver’s license that he had lost several days before.   Now, I thought this was rather awesome of “Big D.” Most people wouldn’t even bother picking something up let alone spending the $0.44 to mail it – and include an awesome letter and great […]

Peanut Butter Blossoms

Is anyone else on the fence when it comes to Halloween this year? Part of me is excited and wants to decorate the shop and go wild – the rest of me is totally bummed out about being broke I don’t even want to look at the new Target to see if they have any wicked cool Halloween goodies I can’t do without. Boo.   Yes, pun intended.   I get paid next Friday and am hoping that that is not too late to still get some Halloween goodness. Fingers crossed. And there’s all the awesomely cute things I am […]

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

DSC_0509 copy

OK, I’ll admit it! I love you, Fall – too much – so I did it. I broke down the other day, and participated in pre-official fall enjoyment but there’s a reason – the cool weather, nice breeze and aggressive marketing are luring me in. Everyone’s telling me to do it, that its OK, the children are back in school, Labor Day has passed. So, yes, I did switch my candles and soaps over to the autumn collection before the official calendar arrival of fall. But, I’m OK with my decision and will stand by it. I am only doing […]

Theres no visual evidence.

I love my some Christmas cheer but everything gets so stressful at times. My uncles birthday is New Years Eve and that stinks cuz he never gets a party just for himself, but on the other hand, the whole world celebrates his birthday. Kind of. So we were finally able to get together Thursday night to exchange Christmas gifts and celebrate his birthday. I made a gingered beef stir fry and chocolate cupcakes with a cream cheese peanut butter frosting. However, due to the stress of trying to get the house un-Chirstmased, tidying up for guests, and making dinner, I […]
