What Are Air Fryer Smores?

This perfect dessert recipe is a classic, with roasting marshmallows over an open flame, layering it on top of a piece of delicious melty chocolate, and slapping it between two graham cracker halves. However, not everyone has time to light up a campfire just so they can make dessert. That’s why we’re using the hot air from the air fryer to make these smores instead! Put your firewood back and grab your trusty air fryer instead because it’s about to get toasty!

What You Need to Make Air Fryer Smores

  • Graham Crackers
  • Marshmallows – We used large marshmallows for this recipe. And if you can find them at your local grocery store, they even make square one’s for s’mores now.
  • Chocolate Pieces – We used Lindt 70% dark chocolate for this recipe but use milk chocolate if you’re making these with kids who are used to Hershey bars.

How to Make Air Fryer Smores

Preparing the Ingredients

To make delicious air fryer s’mores, begin by gathering the ingredients: 4 graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate pieces. Arrange the graham crackers in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. On two of the graham crackers, place marshmallows, and on the other two, place chocolate pieces.

Air Frying

Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the air fryer is ready, carefully place the graham cracker-filled basket inside. Set the cooking time for 2-3 minutes or until the marshmallows are golden and slightly melted. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

Assembling the S’mores

Once the air frying is complete, remove the hot air fryer basket with caution, as it will be very hot. Take one marshmallow-topped graham cracker and carefully place it on top of one chocolate-topped graham cracker to create a sandwich. Repeat this step for the remaining graham crackers and marshmallows.

What to Serve With Air Fryer Smores

Top your smores with a dollop of chocolate liqueur ice cream or serve alongside some amaretto brownies and peanut butter cookies at a dinner party!

Expert Tips

  • Serve these at a birthday party or get-together for an easy sweet treat everyone will love!
  • Instead of graham crackers, sandwich your marshmallows and chocolate between two cookies!
  • Make sure not to overcrowd your graham crackers so everything cooks evenly and your marshmallows don’t stick together.
  • Depending on the type of air fryer you have, you may have to start fat for 2-3 minutes of cooking time and add more time if needed.
  • If you’re afraid your marshmallows might expand too much and get all over your air fryer basket, try splitting them in half!
