Got a pile of apples from the recent family trip to the orchard just waiting to be used up? It’s a race to enjoy the crisp fall bounty before pumpkin spice wins out on everything. But me, I like pumpkin in November, at Thanksgiving and am not caving for at least another week or two. Until then, there’s all sorts of tasty ways to put as much fresh flavor into breakfast, lunch, and dinner from now until the clock strikes winter.
Whether it’s autumn baking that has you in a tizzy, cocktails for your next party, or a fun spin on savory dinners – apples are one of my favorite fruits to use in just about every way possible. Actually, it’s one of the only fruits I’ll eat just sliced and served. Before it’s all in for chunky sweaters and fa-la-laing, let’s give a warm welcome to the sweet days of fall, and every great recipe that comes with them…
