Is everyone else ready for the weekend? I know I am. I am second shooting a wedding at the beautiful Delaware History Museum and planning on spending Sunday taking my sweet time, sipping on one (or possibly two) of these deadly little girl scout cookie inspired Tagalong Bourbon Shakes and mandating some much needed sit on my booty around the fire time off. It's been all hands on deck, with no sign of things slowing down in the future - and you know what? I am ready for it. Excited for it. I'm excited about a lot of things these days....

A few months ago, I embraced a full on positive personality thing. I looked at the people who inspire me, my friends who are rocking it, and my life, and decided it was time for a reality check. And in the past few months things got busier. And things are getting better. And they are working on heading where they need to. It's amazing what a little attitude re-direct can do. So sit back and fight the work day blues with a little sunshine and buttercups. Sure, it feels tacky as hell, but it works. You may find yourself not just perking up your own personality, but helping a few others along the way.

Just in case, have an extra milkshake on hand if they need an extra push!

Is there anything more adult than sipping on a Boozy milkshake?  Probably, but I really don't care to try it. You should try these out though.  Yeah, like your favorite milkshake as a kid, but adult style.

  • Spiked Mexican Chocolate Milkshake
  • Dairy-Free Spiked Nog

Serves: 2 shake

Ingredients

  • 2 scoops chocolate peanut butter ice cream - Ben and Jerry's makes a killer peanut butter cup concoction that is guaranteed to add like 12 pounds in two bites, but it's killer
  • 4 to 6 tagalong cookies
  • 1 to 2 shots bourbon
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth.
  • Serve with more cookies or extra bourbon, a dollop of whipped cream or straight up nothing fancy maybe a straw if I can find one, if it's been a hard day.
  • Seriously, it's a spiked shake, no one's judging.

Bravo on the positive attitude! That's half the battle, isn't it. I'm loving your milkshake and the nod to Girl Scouts. We just ended up our season down here and are looking forward to having the summer off.

I don't know how you came up with this but it's kind of amazing. I'm not even a bourbon drinker but after a few months without any alcohol I'd kill for one of these shakes!

I would like to make these milkshakes, but I tend to eat the entire box of cookies in one sitting... They're too delicious!

Two shots of bourbon would definitely be needed! This shake looks freaking awesome! Hugs, Terra

A spiked shake? What a genius idea! I haven't had a shake in way too long so I'm due for a little treat. I'll even spike it. 🙂
