This week is one of those weeks where you want to swaddle yourself in a warm blanket and hug someone. The weather has been wrecking a portion of the country and my heart breaks day after day as I hear more news coming from the tragedy in Texas. It’s in moments like this, I find myself in the kitchen. That can seem trite, but the act of comfort in cooking is cathartic and healing. It makes a small gesture, an act of feeding one person, seem monumental and can heal not only the person cooking, but the person receiving the food. This week, I found myself in the kitchen a lot, feeding my own, listening to the news with a broken heart. Where ever you are in the world today, be safe.
Here is the line up for the meal plan is week:
Monday – Soup/Salad/Seafood/Meatless – start the week off with something a little lighter.
Tuesday – Mexican – Tacos, enchiladas and more!
Wednesday – Pasta/Italian – pasta doesn’t have to mean Italian, so look for all sorts of fun dishes.
Thursday – Rice/Asian – recipes from all over the work that are easy to make in your own home.
Friday – Cocktails! Take a night off from cooking and enjoy a fun cocktail to end the week.
Saturday – Burgers/Grilling/Sandwiches – fire up the grill for an easy dinner.
Sunday – Comfort Food/Slow Cooker – end the week with food your family will love.
