Today’s the day for our super big awesome bake sale for Muffin! Muffin is the sweetest little pit you ever did meet. She’s currently recovering with Response-A-Bull rescue, after being  found neglected and abused in Baltimore. Muffin is currently being fostered and cared for with some loving and amazing people. Her foster mom is the sweetest person I have ever met and cares for all of Muffins needs without hesitation, in addition to her own pups! Muffin is doing well in foster and her personality is upbeat and loving, even after all she has been through. The girl loves to snuggle. It goes to show how amazing and resilient animals can be, even after the worst of situations. Now all we have to do is send all the positive thoughts and love towards her during her long recovery!

muffin2Today we are joining together as friends across the nation to help Muffin out. Her medical needs are expensive and she will most likely have to be on several medicines for a long period of time as her wounds continue to heal. Response-A-Bull is covering the bills as things add up on top of managing the day to day needs of the rescue (and also just had another pup undergo a major surgery). As a pet owner myself, it makes me happy to see so many wonderful bloggers participating to help spread Muffin’s story and raise awareness.

So get that sweet tooth ready and let’s have one heck of a bake sale!

  1. Thank you for doing this. What a great cause. Will the money raised be only used for that specific dog or if there is an overage will it be donated to the rescue helping her to be used to help other pups?

    1. The money we raise will go to the rescue to be used for Muffin, if we raise a lot of money (which would be awesome!) they can use it on anything they need for the rescue. Thank you!

  2. Oh, this is today! I haven’t received any emails from you so I wasn’t sure. Glad I saw Katrina post about it on Facebook…I will share on my FB page today!

    1. >< I totally should have sent out an email to everyone... I didn't even think of that. This is my first 'bake sale' - I will know for next time. Thank you!!!

  3. So glad to be a part of this! Going to have Patrick take a look later to see if he sees any goodies he wants to take home 😉

  4. Steven MacKenzie says:

Thank you for putting this fund raiser on for us!!! Great to know there are people in this world that do not discriminate due to breed. I am a volunteer at RAB thank you again!!!!

  5. I’m really happy to be taking part in this! I’ve been emailing the link to friends and family. Can’t wait to hear the final tally!

  6. Muffin looks like such a sweetie! Thank you for raising awareness about this issue and for helping out this dear doggie. It’s heartwarming to see so much support. Give Muffin some hugs for me!

  7. This is an incredible event involving so many bloggers that I love and admire. Way to go, Kita, for putting this together. I’m heading over to Response-A-Bull to make a donation. No pet should be abused this way. I have a puppy at home and the thought of her or any animal suffering devastates me. I hope you raise a ton of money and that Muffin makes a swift recovery!

  8. Lindsey @ Hot Polka Dot says:

Kita, I am so happy to help with this amazing cause! I’m thrilled that so many people decided to join in too! Yay Muffin! 🙂

  9. So proud of you girl. This is amazing and I’m sure it’s going to be a huge success. You are good people Kita. Muffin is so lucky to have you in her life. xx

  10. The thing about dogs… They cannot speak for themselves in our language. And they tend to love us unconditionally — in the truest sense of the word. Thanks to all of you bakers and bidders, and to Kita for your compassion. I hope this catches on and becomes a regular thing. You guys are awesome and I’m proud to know (many) of you.
