Almond Green Tea Cupcakes

Green Tea Cupcakes

I decided to invest in my future the other day. I spent a whole ten hard earned dollars on scratch off tickets. Why? Because I had a $10 bill hanging out in my pocket for three weeks for the car wash that I hadn’t taken my car to and because a client of mine had just won 4 grand with scratch offs. What you should note is that this is really out of character for me. I voluntarily threw away ten dollars. I am way to stingy to be wasting money scratching off lottery tickets. We all know the odds. In case […]

Chocolate Dipped Almond Biscotti

It’s that time of year. Yes, that time of year when my shamelessly large flip flop collection gets tossed to the back of the closet and is replaced with random boots and furry flats scattered about my house. (The flip flops are so much easier to keep organized). Large comfy sweaters become my go to for every day (even when it’s pushing 70 in a bizarre heat wave. Cough today cough.) and I realize I own more hoodies than days in the week. Flannel PJ’s, fluffy scarves, and knee high socks. Oh yes, it’s here. So this weeks diggin on […]

Banana Chocolate Granola

Have you seen this little video yet? I’m Making Cook’s Illustrated Beef Stew! I saw it on facebook the other day and it left me in stitches. I am a huge fan of the Cook’s Illustrated publications, owning more of their supplemental magazines, recipe collections and every off shoot of the brand that I can find. I enjoy reading the tips, tricks, and methods leading in to why they prepare things the way they do, but say I will never cook my way through all of them would be an understatement (as you can see joked about in the video linked above). The quality […]

Dark Chocolate Almond Granola Breakfast Cookies and a Giveaway

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Small Planet Foods asking if I would like to sample some of the products from two of their companies. The first,  Cascadian Farm, specializes in healthy and organic breakfast items, while the second, Muir Glen, had some tasty tomato products. Would a girl like to sample? Um… Lucky for me, I have just recently tried to get into the habit of eating breakfast. It’s not something I have enjoyed doing since the toys in my Captain Crunch started to really suck or vanish altogether. From high school on, I don’t ever recall stopping for breakfast. First, […]

Doughnut Holes with Almond Caramel Sauce from my Guest Post with Chef Dennis

As Pass the Sushi continues to grow, I get to learn so many new things and meet new people and build friendships. I had a fun first last Friday, when I was featured on Chef Dennis’ blog More Than A Mount Full. Chef Dennis is a great guy, always posting beautiful recipes as well as really helpful articles with tips and tricks for food sites and other topics that are important to us food bloggers with his Ask Chef Dennis posts. (I wouldn’t even be using FoodBuzz if it wasn’t for him!) Every Friday he showcases another blogger with his […]
